Stacey Brown

Stacey Brown is a seasoned expert in visual communication and project management, with a unique blend of experience that spans 17 years as a Senior IT Project Manager at Mars Incorporated, where she successfully delivered global and regional projects, and over 14 years as the owner of Signarama Silver Spring and DC North. 

Stacey holds a BS in Marketing from Rutgers College and an MBA from The University of Maryland. She also holds the Certified Apartment Supplier Credential (CAS) from the National Apartment Association. For the past seven years, Stacey has served as an adjunct professor at Prince George’s Community College Center in Landover MD, where she helps small businesses understand the intricacies of visual branding.

Stacey is deeply committed to the sign industry beyond her business operations. She serves on the Board of Trustees of the Sign Research Foundation (SRF), whose mission is to empower communities through academic research on vibrant and effective sign strategies, systems, and codes. This role reflects her dedication to advancing knowledge and best practices within the signage industry.

She believes that project management principles are universal and can be applied across all industries, including the sign industry. Whether in large or small sign companies, these principles provide structure and efficiency to manage projects effectively. Stacey has developed and implemented project management processes in her own small sign shop, demonstrating that even the smallest businesses can benefit from globally recognized project management standards.
